The one-year rule
The Spanish Society of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that the first visit be upon turning one year old or when the first tooth comes out. This is a common query from parents visiting us from Gavà, Viladecans, and Castelldefels.
Why so soon?
The goal is prevention. We want to detect possible developmental problems or bottle tooth decay before they become serious.
How to prepare your child
Play dentist at home, speak positively, and avoid using words like 'pain' or 'needle'. The first visit should be a fun and curious experience.
